Verona M. Neumeyer, 1911-2003, Smithton

Verona M. Neumeyer, 92, of Smithton, died Saturday, Dec. 20, 2003, at Fair View Nursing Home.

She was born Feb. 27, 1911, in Smithton, a daughter of Albert and Clara Hoerman Neumeyer.

Miss Neumeyer was a graduate of Smithton High School. She attended the old Sedalia Business College. She was a former member of the Professional Women's Club. She was a member of Smithton United Methodist Church.

Surviving are a brother, Alden Neumeyer, of Sedalia; a nephew, Stephen Neumeyer Sr., of Florida; and two great-nephews.

She was predeceased by a brother, Audrey Neumeyer in 1993.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Smithton United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Gary Smith officiating. Pallbearers will be Allen Sawford, Mac Muschany, Lawrence Adams, James Bass, Albert Moore and Donnie Sawford. Burial will be in Smithton Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time Monday at the church.

Arrangements are under the direction of Moore Funeral Home in La Monte.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the Mid-Mo Humane Society.
